Belgian from Ghana, Guggi Laryea is an International Affairs Officer at the World Bank Liaison Office to the European Union. He is lead advisor for WBG relations with civil society groups and foundations in Europe, and is also focal point for WBG relations with the European Parliament.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Guggi worked as a Policy Advisor for the European NGO network - European Solidarity Towards Equal Participation of People (Eurostep) and as a Representative to the EU for the child rights NGO - Plan International. He has also worked as a consultant with the European Commission and has over 20 years-experience in international development cooperation.
Guggi Laryea holds a BA in International Relations from Vesalius College, Free University of Brussels, a Post Grad Diploma (Cum Laude) in Development Policy and MA in Public Administration from the University of Antwerp. He speaks English, French and Dutch.
Within ADNE Guggi Laryea is in charge of Public advocacy towards the African Union and other international organizations.
