In the framework of its mission of supporting and empowering African Diaspora in their endeavors for sustainable development of Africa, ADNE is sponsoring the Digital African Woman Annual Conference to take place on the 21st and 22nd of September in Brussels.
The first day of the conference will take place at Eggsplore in Brussels. It will consist in a high level workshop in which trainers such as Brian Rashid, from Silicon Valley, Rossana Kurrer, MIT Master Trainer in Belgium, and Netia Mccray, from Mbadika (USA) will train startups all across Europe on how to pitch their projects, and how to become unicorns in this complex world of entrepreneurship. Apart from the high level trainers, attendants will also have the opportunity to catch up with high level keynote speakers, amongst whom Isidro Laso, Head of Sector for StartUp Europe at the European Commission, Joanna Maycock from the European Women's Lobby, Marie Chantal Uwitonze, from ADNE, Joanna Maycock from Philippe Vanrie, from EBN, Mirjam Blaak, Ambassador for Uganda in Benelux, outstand.
The second day, we will host the event at the European Parliament. A very intensive session in which the best startups selected from the 21st September workshop will take our pitch challenge in front of a very high level judge consisting of Alexandra Dreschner- UCB Director of CSR, Jezabel Martinez-PHD -Head of strategic communications, Christelle Pandazyla- Regional Director of Give1 and Brian Rashid- Sillicon Valley startup coach and Motivational Speaker. The winners at this pitch challenge will be candidates for the StartUp Europe Awards, an initiative promoted by the European Commission and implemented by StartUp Europe and Finnova, to be held next December 2016.
