The tenth edition of the European Development Days (EDD 2016) will take place in Tour & Taxi on 15-16 June 2016.

As part of its mission of encouraging a wider involvement of African Diaspora in shaping the future of Africa and Europe; every year ADNE actively participates in the organisation of the European Development Days and makes sure that Diaspora Voices are heard on key development issues.

EDD 2016 will focus on the ‘2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’, making it one of the very first major conferences dedicated to the issue. EDD2016 is one of the major events on the international development calendar taking place at a strategically important time the global Development Community, some months after the General Assembly of the United Nations on Sustainable Development Agenda, the COP 21 and one year after the Addis Ababa Summit on financing for development.

EDD2016 will bring together high level officials ( EU officials, Heads of State and  Ministers from Europe, ACP Countries and Asia), Representatives of leading International Companies, Representatives of Diaspora and other civil society organizations, Academia, Artists  etc. ADNE experts were invited to join High level Speakers to bring in the voice of the African Diaspora. ADNE Advocacy for Development activities within the EDD16 will involve organization of a Lab session on Migration and Refugees as part of own initiative co-organized with the ACP Secretariat, the co-organization of  2 High Level Auditoria namely the auditorium on the “Means of implementation” and an Auditorium on “Engaging with Private Sector" as well as the co-organization of a Lab session on Youth Employment.
